Oak Grove, KY – In a 3-2 vote yesterday, Oak Grove City Council members rejected a $3,000 pay increase for Mayor Dan Potter. The original ordinance also included a pay increase for council members, but that language was removed during a meeting last week. The Kentucky New Era reports several council members saying it was not a good time to increase elected officials' pay. Potter's salary remains at almost $34,000 a year.
