Marina Subcontractor Replaced

By Todd Hatton

Clarksville, TN – Excavation work at the Clarksville Marina will resume, now that issues over replacing a subcontractor that walked off the job in February have been resolved. Zurich, the surety company that insured the former subcontractor Rust of Kentucky, gave lead contractor TMS the go-ahead to hire Franklin-based Civil Constructors to complete the work. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports that Rust of Kentucky left the marina project just days before filing for bankruptcy. Civil Constructors President Joe Rodgers says his vehicles will begin mobilizing immediately. In the meantime, TMS hasn't been idle. They've been able to continue work in other areas of the site.
