Paducah, KY – The Ohio River at Paducah is expected to rise to moderate flood levels Thursday, cresting at above five feet over flood stage. The National Weather Service predicts minor flooding beginning at 39 feet, then moderate flooding as the elevation exceeds 43 feet. City spokesperson Pam Spencer says that level is fairly common for Paducah and the floodwall gates won't be installed unless the river rises higher than 48 feet.
