Paris, TN – Three political newcomers in Henry County have won races in the Democratic primary there. Mike Wilson took the Circuit Court Clerk race with 34% of the vote over a field of other candidates. Current Deputy Clerk Donna Craig won a relatively close race for County Clerk against Mitchell Evans with 54% of the vote. And Pam Martin beat longtime Register of Deeds Alice Webb with 60% of the vote. Webb held the office for 37 years. Despite yesterday's race being only the Democratic primary, there are no Republican or independent candidates slated for the August general election ballots and the winners will take office at the beginning of September.
