Paducah, KY – The U.S. Coast Guard says more than 200 miles of the Tennessee River will be closed to recreational boats until further notice. The Coast Guard says that the river is at record-high levels and there is excessive debris floating on it. No recreational vessels are allowed from Paducah to Pickwick Landing, Tennessee, a total of 206 miles. The Coast Guard says commercial vessels are still allowed on the river.
