Nashville, TN – State agencies providing services to Tennesseans are closer to returning to normal operations after being disrupted by this week's floods. The Department of Labor is working to reroute calls to make unemployment claims to satellite offices because its call center in north Nashville has been evacuated. But claims can be processed online and at career centers.
All offices processing food stamps are open, and people on the program who lost food due to the storms are eligible to have their balances restored. Disaster information centers have been set up in some of Nashville's hardest hit areas to provide guidance on social services, legal and insurance information.
