Oak Grove, KY – The Oak Grove City Council approved a special taxing district last night for a multi-million dollar mall project. Council members passed the second reading of the ordinance at a specially called meeting. The council passed the first reading at their regular meeting Tuesday night. City Clerk Evelyn McDaniel says developers plan to break ground in the next couple months. Under the ordinance, property taxes from the mall site should bring in over $530,000 in the first year.
