Lexington, KY – Four Kentucky Republican rivals hold their final debate tonight in what has become an increasingly acrimonious U.S. Senate race. The debate is at seven tonight in Lexington and will be broadcast live on Kentucky Education Television. Voters go the polls on May 18 to choose Republican and Democratic nominees to replace retiring U.S. Senator Jim Bunning. Paul, a Bowling Green eye surgeon with strong backing from tea party activists, has been engaged in a bitter race with his chief GOP rival, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson. Paul holds a strong lead in the polls. The eventual Republican nominee will face one of five Democratic candidates, including Lieutenant Governor Dan Mongiardo and Attorney General Jack Conway.
