Madisonville, KY – Madisonville's Glema Mahr Center for the Arts' endowment has grown to 1.7 million dollars. The funding has tripled in the past five years, in major part due to a trust provided by Mahr. The arts benefactor died last November. Executive Director Brad Downall says though the sum is considerable, it's not enough to count on for very long. He'd like to see the amount double in the next ten years. The center currently operates on a seven-hundred-thousand-dollar annual budget.
