Paducah, KY – The city of Paducah is trying to decide what to do with a 40,000-squre-foot portable dome without bathrooms that will bring it up to state code. City officials say they hope to have a decision about what will become of the dome by June 1.
The city hurried the portable canvas structure into use next to the Julian Carroll Convention Center for for last month's quilt show. Vendors who in previous years set up in the Executive Inn used the pavilion. Since the show ended, the pavilion has been empty - in large measure because it lacks restrooms and the portable restrooms rented for the quilt show have been returned.
