Frankfort, KY – Two Kentucky schools are being recognized for being green and healthy. A statement from the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet says Wingo Elementary School in Graves County and Henry Clay High School in Fayette County are being honored Thursday at a youth summit in Frankfort for completing the Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools program. The program includes research and improvement in the areas of sustainability and health.
Eight other schools will be recognized for making progress in the program at the Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools youth summit in Frankfort. Another 25 schools will get certificates for joining the program.
