Benton, KY – A Benton man convicted of child pornography will serve the maximum sentence allowed under law. The Kentucky Attorney General's Office sentenced 53-year-old Michael Dumas to 20 years in prison. Dumas must serve at least four years of his sentence before being eligible for parole. He must also register as a sex offender for 20 years following his release. A Marshall County jury convicted Dumas in April of possessing and distributing child porn. Dumas admitted to downloading a quarter of a million graphic pornographic images of children in March 2007. The Attorney General's Office of Special Prosecution handled the case.
