US Dept of Labor Plans Info Release

By Chris Taylor

Washington D.C. – The US Department of Labor plans to soon release more information about how and where Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant workers were exposed to toxins. The information will be included in the federal department's upcoming Site Exposure Matrices website: which will include data from almost half of the nation's nuclear weapons plants and all uranium-related production facilities. The information had been limited to known toxins at specific plants, but now will include buildings, chemicals, processes, high-risk jobs and possible health effects of exposure. The information's expanded availability may help workers and retirees support their health claims.
