Fort Campbell, KY – The 101st Airborne Division Headquarters is ready for deployment. The headquarters and headquarters battalion cased their colors today. This is the fourth deployment for the division headquarters since 9/11. The Division will be responsible for 14 provinces and 41 terrain districts. The 101st will partner with Afghan police who oversee the districts. More than 10,000 101st soldiers are already deployed to Afghanistan. By the end of August, that number will reach 20,000.
