Murray, KY – The case against a Murray woman charged with attempted murder after police say she hit a man with her car will go to a grand jury next month. 23-year-old Teresa Lawrence allegedly hit 23-year-old Joseph Tessier after a verbal argument. Calloway Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship tells the Paducah Sun the case would have been reviewed today, but the victim says he doesn't remember being hit by the car and doesn't believe Lawrence would have struck him intentionally. Lawrence told police she believed she had hit a mailbox. Blankenship is delaying the case for police to finish their investigation, hoping to determine if Tessier is correct or if feelings for his friend have clouded his judgment.
