Paris, TN – Henry County, Tennessee's River Resort Act Committee expects over a half million dollars in funding for various tourism-related events for the next fiscal year. The committee approved its budget this week on how to best allocate a chunk of revenues from the state because the county is designated as a Tennessee River Resort area. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports several items have already been approved for funding, including infrastructure at the Holly Fork Shooting Complex, tens of thousands of dollars for several area conventions and festivals, and partial funding toward purchasing a digital microfilm scanner for the Henry County Genealogy group.
