Klans of America founder appears in U.S. District Court, Owensboro

Owensboro, Ky. – Imperial Klans of America founder Ron Edwards and his girlfriend appeared in U.S. District Court in Owensboro today for a detention hearing. Federal agents arrested Edwards and Christina Gillette Wednesday after a search of the Hopkins County IKA compound. Edwards is accused of possession with intent to distribute, as well as distribution of, hydrocodone and methamphetamine. Charges against Edwards also include possession of a firearm. Gillette is accused of possessing methamphetamine. Edwards and Gillette were released on bond today following their hearing. State Police assisting in the search arrested a third Hopkins County man, who is now out on bond.
