Frankfort, KY – Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer is advising Kentucky farmers to use the federal relief programs available to recover from recent flood losses. Farmer says producers suffering at least a 30 percent loss in crop production or livestock products can apply for Emergency Loan Program aid. The Emergency Conservation Program can give up to 200-thousand dollars in cost-share assistance when farmland flood damage requires federal help. Assistance includes debris removal, fence restoration, grading, shaping and re-leveling.

The Supplemental Revenue Assistance Program (SURE)
The Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP)
The Emergency Livestock Assistance Program (ELAP)
The Tree Assistance Program (TAP)
