Paducah, KY – The McCracken County Fiscal Court will consider approving a nearly $24 million spending plan tonight. The initial plan for next year's budget is to spend about $700,000 over this year and includes funding for the community scholarship program and the Greater Paducah Economic Development Council. It also includes an almost three percent cost of living pay raise for most county employees. The Paducah Sun reports before voting on the budget, the court will have to decide if it will continue to subsidize the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center Corporation's request for $125,000. Those funds go to help pay for expenses at the Julian Carroll Convention and Paducah Expo Centers.
