Smithland, KY – Kentucky transportation officials say a Livingston County bridge is on schedule to reopen by this weekend. A statement from the Transportation Cabinet says repairs to the Gum Creek Fork Bridge are almost complete. The bridge has been closed to traffic since rushing floodwaters on May 2 took out most of the support structure at the south end of the bridge.
Engineers say the bridge is likely to keep a 15-ton load limit.
