Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County, Tennessee commissioners will likely vote on a budget that includes no property tax increases and little change to how much is allocated to departments, elected offices and the school system. The Clarksville-Montgomery school system had requested more money to address an estimated $17 million in unfunded needs and restoration of previous cuts. Although no increases are slated for its operating expense, over 3 and a half million dollars is included for capital projects to repair and maintain the school systems' facilities. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports commissioners are scheduled to vote on the budget June 14th.
