Paducah, KY – Paducah City Commissioners agreed to apply for over one and a half million dollars in grants yesterday. Most of the federal money would go to purchasing public safety equipment: from communications and mobile data computers to bulletproof vests and bomb squad apparatus. Commissioners also introduced an ordinance to purchase four digital police cruiser cameras for just over $19,000 and are expected to vote on the measure in two weeks.
