Hopkinsville, KY – Planned employee raises and other costs are expected to put the Hopkinsville-Christian County Emergency Communications Center into deficit spending during the next fiscal year. The ECC plans use $124,000 in reserve funds. Employees were not given their regular pay raises this fiscal year, and Hopkinsville Police Chief and ECC board chairman Guy Howie tells the Kentucky New Era he doesn't see a way to cut the budget without being unfair to employees.
