Frankfort, KY – A Todd County businessman who dropped out of the Republican primary for U.S. Senate says he's considering running for governor in 2011. Bill Johnson says he hopes to decide by June or July. Despite bowing out of the race, Johnson garnered 8,000 votes in last week's primary election. Republican State Senator Damon Thayer says he's considering running for lieutenant governor with Johnson.
Democratic Governor Steve Beshear is running for re-election with Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson as his running mate.
