Frankfort, KY – No Kentucky fishing license? No problem, as long as it's the first weekend in June. Kentucky holds its free fishing weekend June 5th and June 6th, which means anglers don't have to have a fishing license or a trout permit to participate. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources reports all other fishing regulations remain in effect, including minimum size limits and daily creel limits. The weekend is part of National Fishing and Boating Week.
