Benton, KY – The Marshall County Board of Health is delaying construction bids on a new health department. Board members want to study the proposed site before moving forward with the project. A consultant will evaluate the proposed location on the 641 Bypass to make sure it is the best place to locate the health department. The Marshall County Tribune-Courier reports a 60-day evaluation could cost between $12,000 and $14,000. The total cost of the new building is estimated at $5 million.
