Mayfield, KY – A Kentucky State Police trooper stationed out of Post 1 in Mayfield faces charges for driving under the influence. KSP Spokesman Lieutenant David Jude says Trooper Timothy Sales remains suspended with pay, pending a court case and an internal investigation. Sales was arrested last Friday. He had been on extended leave when he stopped by the Post 1 headquarters. Other officers suspected Sales was under the influence, and the on-duty supervisor followed Sales and arrested him six miles south of the post. His arraignment is in Graves County Circuit Court July 22. Jude says the KSP has not charged Sales yet.
