Murray, Ky. – The City of Murray reports vehicle sticker sales are ahead this year, and the city is close to meeting its sales target. City Clerk Harla McClure says, as of this morning, the city has sold more than 1,000 stickers ahead of this date last year. McClure reports the city is $10,000 from meeting its budgeted revenue projection of $678,000 dollars. As of the end of today, police wrote nearly 1,000 violations for noncompliance. Murray's City sticker is a revenue generator that has recently come under scrutiny as the city faces an $829,000 budget shortfall.
