Paducah, KY – McCracken County officials are considering contracting a firm to manage its information technology needs, saying the city of Paducah's network system is too restrictive. Judge-Executive Van Newberry tells the Paducah Sun the county could hire Kalleo Technologies to manage its system for $168,000 a year. Sheriff Jon Hayden and Jailer Bill Adams have grievances with the city's system. Sheriff's deputies have to drive to the courthouse to file reports at an approved WIFI access point and the jail must maintain three separate computer systems to keep records. If hired, the company would be responsible for managing, securing and backing up a new flexible network.
