Mayfield, Ky. – A Graves County Couple faces potential jail time and a $250,000 fine for illegally receiving Social Security Disability Insurance. U.S. Attorney David J. Hale in Paducah announced the indictment today against Clayton and Tammy Williams. Hale says that between 2003 and 2009, Clayton Williams claimed he suffered from an illness and was unable to work. An investigation revealed that as he collected Social Security benefits, he continued to work using another social security number. The indictment further states that Tammy Williams received benefits after reporting that she and Williams were separated, when in fact, they resided together. The couple is scheduled for arraignment on July 7 in Paducah.
