Nortonville, KY – City officials in Nortonville hired a new city clerk this week. Retired educator C. T. Sturt has worked on a voluntary basis as clerk since April. She was among eight candidates interviewed for the job. The new hires come a month after the city council asked the city clerk and assistant clerk to resign for poor job performance. The council expects to hire an assistant clerk by the end of the week.
