Frankfort, KY – Governor Steve Beshear has appointed three new members to the Murray State University Board of Regents. The appointees are Cuyahoga Community College President Doctor Jerry Sue Thornton of the Cleveland, Ohio area; Life insurance executive Harry Lee Waterfield the second of Frankfort; and Paducah Bank Marketing Director Susan Guess. They replace board chairman Alan Stout and member Vickie Travis. Dr. Laxmiah Manchicanti resigned earlier this year.
In other board appointments across the state: Paducah Public School administrator Dennis M. Jackson will serve on the Kentucky Council for Post Secondary Education. River industry executive Carl Ronald James, of Paducah will serve on the Kentucky Community and Technical College System board of regents.
