Carbondale, IL – Less than two weeks into her term, Southern Illinois University Chancellor Rita Cheng is making changes at the Carbondale campus. University spokesman Rod Sievers confirms that Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management Victoria Valle has been reassigned, to be replaced by an interim manager. Sievers says the move is a part of an overall restructuring of the Enrollment Management office. Valle was hired in 2007. She was hired to turn around declining enrollment numbers, but those numbers have remained flat in the years since. It's unclear what her new position is or if she plans to stay.
