Reidland, KY – Abestos has been found in a portion of the state highway office in Reidland over the weekend. Part of the building was evacuated after samples from the ceiling tested positive for the carcinogen. A worker installing lights noticed floating particles in the air after drilling a hole. Transportation Spokesman Keith Todd says the EPA is expected to conduct thorough tests today that will determine what the next step will be. Todd says his department is in contact with a removal firm if the building is determined to be a safety hazard.
