Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear says he will be glad to campaign for Attorney General Jack Conway this fall. Conway grabbed the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination in last month's Kentucky primary.
"I'm gonna be as involved as much as Jack wants me to be," Beshear said. "I'm for him and I want him to win and I think he'll make a great U.S senator. So, when he starts asking me to do different things, we'll certainly do them to the extent I can within my schedule of being governor." Conway faces Republican U-S Senate nominee Rand Paul in the November 2nd general election. Gov. Beshear also has his eyes on 2011, when he will be running for a second term. Beshear, and his running mate, Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson, continue to raise money for their campaign war chest.
