Madisonville, KY – The Hopkins County Fiscal Court adopted a budget last night that exceeds last year's appropriations by nearly two million dollars. The budget for the fiscal year that begins in July is $25.7 million, up from $23.9 million last year. Increases include over $200,000 more for the road fund. The increased funds come from coal severance money and potential grants.
