Paducah, KY – High winds yesterday evening caused sporadic damage along the I-24 area in McCracken and Marshall Counties and Metropolis, Illinois. An antenna tower at Concord Fire Department was bent in half. Assistant Fire Chief Jamie Peyton tells the Paducah Sun the damage severs a connection within the intra-department radio system but won't affect the station's communication with central dispatch. 2,000 West Kentucky Rural Electric customers in Marshall County were estimated to be without power last night and the company reportedly sent four crews out last night to address the problem. In Metropolis wind blew over a tractor-trailer carrying part of a mobile office on I-24. The driver was not injured.
