Clarksville, TN – Selling the former Gateway Medical Center site on Madison Street could bring in over one and a half million dollars to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation. Chairman Ben Kimbrough, Senior tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle, he expects a figure near that amount pending a possible sale that would see the property developed into a $22 million retail center with a Publix supermarket as the anchor tenant. The revenue would likely go towards local scholarships and grants. Kimbrough says the potential deal is a great thing, because the current site is an eyesore.
