Murray, KY – Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen has announced $2.6 million in grants to 15 cities to encourage elementary and middle school students to walk or bike to class. The funds will be used to improve sidewalks, crosswalks, signs and safe walking and biking educational activities. Northwestern Tennessee's Union City was one of the grant recipients.
