Paducah, KY – A mental health counselor in Paducah pleaded guilty at his arraignment yesterday to promoting prostitution. Police arrested 70-year-old George Kyle in a hotel room sting Tuesday. Kyle is to serve 4 days in jail and 26 on probation for meeting a patient for paid sex. Police were able to record a conversation where Kyle paid the patient money for the act. He was also attempting to recruit her for what he called his secret sex therapy' program, where he proposed to pay her $1,000 to prostitute herself to his clients.
After the arraignment, Paducah Police also cited Kyle with not having a business license. Kyle was practicing social work from an office in the Elmwood Court housing complex, listing Merit Behavioral Associates on his business cards. The Mayfield-based social service says they have no affiliation with Kyle.
