Paducah, KY – Paducah officials prepare to receive contractor bids next week seeking to win the right to liquidate and demolish the Executive Inn. Some contractors say bidding on the project doesn't come easy. Several unnamed, out-of-town contractors scouting the hotel yesterday tell the Paducah Sun the hotel won't be difficult to take down, but anticipating what to charge is the real challenge. Bidders will have to undercut heavy competition which has increased from an industry slowed to a standstill. Figuring the logistics of transporting equipment into town and estimating what the hotel's contents will bring at auction are among the other chief reasons bidding is tough.
