Paducah, KY – Despite allegations from 8 women, a Paducah social worker who pleaded guilty last week to promoting prostitution may avoid sexual abuse charges. 70-year-old George Kyle was arrested in a hotel room sting where police recorded a conversation where he paid a patient money for sex. Despite the numerous depositions, police may not be able to bring additional charges against Kyle because there's no state law prohibiting a counselor from propositioning patients. To be considered criminal, the Paducah Sun reports Kyle's sexual advances had to be either forced or the victim had to be too young to consent or mentally or physically disabled. Kyle treated the women in court-ordered anger management classes.
