Fulton, KY – Contractors have begun a project to expand the Fulton Airport. The $1.2 million contract involves preparation to lengthen the airport runway. This first phase, which involves dirt and drainage work, should be complete by fall. When the project finishes, the runway will be 4,000 feet long and 75 feet wide. It will also include a taxiway. The airport serves Fulton and Hickman counties and provides service to Obion and Weakley counties in Tennessee. Officials hope the expansion will increase service capabilities and bring more business to the area.
