Hopkinsville – A jury trial scheduled for two area couples accused of running an investment scam has been postponed. The trial was set for Thursday in Christian County Circuit Court. Instead, a pretrial conference is now in place for Friday. Kenneth and Sheila Kennedy of Clarksville, and Ann and Robert Scarborough of Hopkinsville are charged with defrauding 20 people, including friends and family, out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The Kentucky New Era reports, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Whitney Westerfield says federal prosecutors requested that the state delay its trial until the conclusion of the federal case in Nashville. The federal trial is scheduled for October.
