Paducah, KY – Paducah's Interim City Manager Jon Perkins updated commissioners on the search for a permanent City Manager. Perkins says Jim Mercer of Mercer Group, the company conducting the executive search, has already received around 70 applications as the deadline approaches on July 9th. Mercer will screen applicants, narrowing down a list of candidates to about 15. The Commission is expected to further whittle that list down to 8 or less. Then, after background and reference checks, commissioners hope to interview the final candidates in early August.
