Princeton, KY – At least two western Kentucky legislators have donated their salaries from the special session to charity. Democratic Representative Mike Cherry of Princeton says he distributed his salary to food banks in Calloway, Livingston, Caldwell, and McCracken counties. Democrat Will Coursey of Benton gave his salary to the Calvert City Veterans of Foreign Wars. The money will go to aid in the purchase of a new vehicle to transport veterans to the Marion, Illinois Veterans Affairs hospital. Legislators received around twelve-hundred dollars for the six days of the special session.
