Frankfort, KY – The mayor of Bowling Green will become the next president of the Kentucky League of Cities. Elaine Walker will take the helm in September for a one-year term. The KLC is a quasi-government group that provides insurance and lobbying services to cities. The group's reputation has recently taken a hit for lavish spending and questionable business deals. Mayor Walker says she's looking forward to becoming president at a time when the league is moving forward.
