Princeton, Ky. – Caldwell County Circuit Court prosecutors Thursday arraigned a registered sex offender accused of similar crimes in McCracken and Fayette counties. Forty-six-year-old Jasper Elmer Jennings, Jr., of Frankfort has a court-appointed attorney and a pre-trial hearing scheduled for 8:30 AM Monday. He is charged with attempting to procure sex from a minor. For the past year, Jennings allegedly engaged in sexually explicit online conversations, and transmitted explicit images to a Princeton police detective posing as a 15-year-old girl. Police in Paducah and Lexington also conducted sting operations to build a case against Jennings. Following his arraignment, he returned to Caldwell County Jail where he is held on $50-thousand-dollar cash bond.
