Dycusburg, Ky. – Crews today recovered the body of Travis Conditt from the Cumberland River. The 19-year-old Crittenden County resident went missing Wednesday while swimming with two friends near Dycusburg. Crittenden County Emergency Management Director Greg Rushing says when Conditt went under, one of his friends tried to rescue him, but couldn't find him. Crittenden and Livingston County squads searched for two days, aided by Marshall County crews. Conditt's body was recovered before 11 AM, not far from the place he disappeared beneath the water. Rushing cites drowning as the cause of death.
