Owensboro, KY – The new president of the Owensboro Community and Technical College is scheduled to begin his job on July 1st. The Messenger-Inquirer reports Dr. Jim Klauber signed a two-year contract for the position that includes an annual salary of $125,000, plus benefits and allowances for housing and a vehicle.
Klauber, a vice president and general counsel at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina, was chosen last month as the new president.
He succeeds interim President Dr. Larry Durrence, who took the position in 2009 when then-President Paula Gastenveld was reassigned to the main office of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System in Versailles.
